SupperNOVA

Immigrant Service Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS) has been organizing this event over 20 years in collaboration with other community organizations such as YMCA Centre for Immigrant Programs, Public Libraries, Frontier College, African Diaspora of the Maritimes, Francophone Immigration, and community volunteer committee members.

The purpose of the event is to create a community space to welcome new immigrants and enhance the meaningful relationship between new immigrants and Canadian-born residents in our communities. It is a family friendly and intercultural learning space through multicultural foods and entertainments. We see about 300 to 350 new immigrant families and Canadian born families bringing their family dishes and learning from each other’s cultures.
