Acts for AIDS
In Support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation
The 2nd annual Acts for Aids show will be held February 15th at Halifax West as a part of Red Week in support of the Stephen Louis Foundation. 8 schools from the HRM (Halifax West, Citadel, Auburn, CPA, Dartmouth High, Sir John A, Shambala and Lockview) will send their best performers to compete for the title of best talent in the HRM! Local radio station hosts are scheduled to judge the competition. Come out for an awesome evening of the HRM's best talent!
Tickets are available for sale at each participating High School. The remaining tickets will be sold at the door of the show. Please do not contact the Bella Rose Arts Centre Box Office about this event.
Cinderella the Ballet
Presented by the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts
Rachael Dyer, creator and co-choreographer of The Ballet, and co-choreographer Barbara Dearborn, weave a magical journey that touches the heart. Set to the hauntingly stunning music of Prokofiev, and featuring John O'Neil's original and beautiful set design, this delightful ballet captures the imagination of young and old alike.

In September 2009 we lost a cherished member of our dance community with the passing of Elizabeth Ryan. Elizabeth and her mom, Michelle, have been an integral part of our events for many, many years and to honour her memory and her passion for life and the arts we created the Winter Spectacular!

Guys and Dolls Jr.
Presented by Fairview Junior High
Set in New York City, this enticing musical takes you from the news seller to the chorus girl, from the gambler to the missionary. Guys and Dolls was one of the greatest successes Broadway has ever known! It includes the popular songs "Luck be a Lady", "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat", and "A Bushel and a Peck".

The Sound of Music
Presented by Eventurous Theatre Company
The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical. When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre. The motion picture version remains the most popular movie musical of all time.

The Godmother Part 7: Gangstas Gone Wild
Building on a tradition of spoofing well known, but not necessarily theatre, literary works, this year's production "The Godmother Part 7: Gangstas Gone Wild" is once again, an original script. As suggested by the title, it is a "mash up" of TV and movie mob/gangster genre productions. We are sure it will lead to many scripted misunderstandings on stage. We are positive it will lead to laughter!
But we can't tell you any more.... because the script is top secret! And it's contents won't be known by the cast or crew until 24 hours before we open the doors to YOU, the audience.
